Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 120g (1/2 cup) granulated sugar
  • 120g (1 cup) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 50ml (1/4 cup) milk
  • 50ml (1/4 cup) vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Batter:
    • Separate the egg whites and yolks into two bowls.
    • Whisk the egg whites until foamy, then gradually add sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form.
    • In the bowl with egg yolks, add milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  2. Combine Ingredients:
    • Sift the flour and baking powder into the egg yolk mixture. Mix until smooth.
    • Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture in batches, being careful not to deflate the batter.
  3. Prepare the Rice Cooker:
    • Lightly grease the inner pot of the rice cooker with oil or butter. Pour the batter into the pot and tap it lightly to remove air bubbles.
  4. Cook the Cake:
    • Set the rice cooker to the “Cook” function. If it switches to “Warm,” wait for a few minutes, then press “Cook” again.
    • Cook for 40–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the cake cool slightly before removing it from the rice cooker.
